Third Quarter Happenings!

Here's what we're working on currently:

Kindergarten -
My Kindergarten friends continue to wow me with their use of KidPix 3D. We have mastered how to insert pictures and add text. Up next is a digital picture of our favorite season to support an ILC project. Wait until you see what Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Bates do with our computer lab contribution!

First -
In first grade, we have supported the study of fact and opinion in the classroom. My first grade friends learned how to insert online pictures, format text, and open and save in Microsoft Word. We will venture into Microsoft PowerPoint to create a slideshow about each students global address next. All the skills we learned in Word will come in handy!

Second -
We started 2016 with a bang! Second graders created dynamic digital slides in KidPix 3D with animation, motion paths, sound, and a carefully crafted sentence using their new knowledge of adverbs and other strong descriptive language. Classes will be able to use these digital creations in their Language Arts classes.

Third -
Third grade will continue their use of digital resources to research a topic and create a product.
We'll be learning about Georgia's habitats and creating a more robust info-graphic. Fun!

Fourth -
Fourth grade will be tackling PowerPoint this quarter to create a slideshow about an important figure of the Revolutionary War. We'll go over the basics but also tackle the bells and whistles to create dynamic presentations.

Fifth -
We're wrapping up our collaborative PSA commercials. My fifth grade friends are dying to tackle their own PowerPoint, so we'll create independent projects next with the topic of cells to support the science curriculum.
